Kool Smiles takes pride in our local communities and strives to help each of them grow and prosper. We work hand in hand with social service agencies, schools and daycare centers, retailers, government bodies, medical providers, and other groups to build healthy and strong communities where our offices are located.

Kool Smiles frequently partners with local organizations who want to expand the reach of quality dental care to their communities. We have partnered with daycare centers to provide oral health supplies and education (PDF) and with state governors to expand access to quality dentistry (PDF) across a whole state. We have partnerships of all shapes and sizes with all types of organizations.

Each Kool Smiles office has a local Community Relations program where one of our professionals is responsible for providing free oral healthcare education, supporting local charities and events through sponsorship and/or participation, and developing strong partnerships throughout the community. Every Community Relations Specialist volunteers with a local nonprofit organization, and many sit on boards of directors and/or committees. In addition, our CRS team brings a personal approach to the Kool Smiles experience by working closely with our patients to assist them in identifying resources to help meet their needs.

For Community Organizations and Companies

Kool Smiles strives to make a positive impact in our communities by partnering with local nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Through volunteering, sponsorships, and participation in local events, we help local community organizations succeed in meeting their mission. Don't be surprised to see our community relations team providing toys to the Toys for Tots program, stuffing backpacks for Back to School initiatives, or packing grocery bags at the local food bank. We believe in helping the community grow and prosper in all aspects of their lives.

Did you know that employed adults lose more than 164 million hours of work each year due to oral health problems and dental visits? We want to help your business succeed by decreasing your employee absenteeism due to dental-related illnesses. Kool Smiles provides free Lunch 'n' Learn programs on oral healthcare, and will help employees understand the dental benefits you are providing. This can help lower absenteeism and put smiles on the faces of your team. If your employee needs to take their children or themselves to the dentist, Kool Smiles provides same-day appointments, short wait times, and same-day care—all to help to minimize the time your employees are away from the office.

For Healthcare Providers

At Kool Smiles, our goal is to provide critical dental health services to children and their parents who previously had limited or no access to dental care. By providing this care early on, we can help prevent serious health problems from arising later in a child's life.

The Surgeon General has concluded that oral health care is the number-one unmet need for children across America today. This need is particularly critical for children in low-income families. Nationally, only one in five children from low-income families has access to dental care, primarily due to a lack of available services.

We are working to create a comprehensive healthcare community for our country's children. With healthcare providers working together, we can ensure that America's children and their parents are able to receive the complete healthcare coverage they need and deserve.

For Legislators

Kool Smiles is proud to be part of the communities we serve by providing education and outreach about the importance of oral health, involving ourselves in community organizations, and bringing great jobs to the community. Most importantly, we are providing high-quality dental care to those who might not otherwise have access to it.

Unlike many providers who will not see underserved patients or will only see a small number of them, Kool Smiles seeks to create quality access for patients of state-sponsored Medicaid and SCHIP programs, and aims to enhance healthcare specifically in communities defined as underserved. Kool Smiles is proud of its unique work: creating smiles on kids' and parents' faces alike. Come see for yourself. For Military and Base Personnel

We support our military personnel. We understand our military families can have a tough time with schedules and frequent moves. Did you know that Kool Smiles offices are located near many military bases throughout the United States? This makes it easy for patients to transfer records and stay with a familiar dental home, no matter where you are in the country. Of course, we proudly accept United Concordia's Tricare in all offices.

Kool Smiles also partners with local military bases by sponsoring events, providing free oral education and dental screenings to child development centers, and collaborating with the community on company-sponsored events to thank our troops for protecting our country.

For Schools

Tooth decay affects 50% of first-graders and 80% of 17-year-olds. In fact, more than 51 million school hours are lost each year due to dental-related illnesses. Children who miss school are at risk of falling behind in their studies. Kool Smiles works closely with schools near our offices to help ensure children are getting the dental care they need and deserve.

Kool Smiles provides free oral health education to children, parents, and educators, as well as free dental screenings, on request, to help school officials ensure their students are healthy and free from dental problems that may affect their ability to learn.
